GENERAL AND MEDICAL INFORMATION
You understand and take full responsibility for your own health and well-being. Check with a doctor before using our facility if pregnant, diabetic, have underlying health issues / concerns or are under any medical care whatsoever. This includes any history of dizziness or fainting. This also includes any metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any surgical implants including silicon. By signing our waiver you understand the risks and have consulted with a medical professional.
Anyone entering the sauna assumes full responsibility of their medical / health condition, to include but not limited to, any medications the guest may be taking which could result in a medical emergency or unsafe condition. All guests must know their own limitations and assume all risks associated with any activities in which they may engage in while at Cromarty Sauna.
We strongly advise customers to hydrate before entering the sauna, during and after your sauna sessions.
REDUCE THE RISK OF OVERHEATING & SCALDS
Prolonged exposure to the sauna may cause your body to overheat. We recommend limiting yourself to a maximum of fifteen minutes. Everyone is different and we recommend you listen to your body. Overexposure to high temperatures and humidity can be dangerous to your health. Exit the sauna immediately if you begin to feel nauseous, uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy and contact a member of our staff. Do not use the facility if you have recently consumed alcohol, drugs or medications. Use at your own risk.
Be aware that direct contact with sauna rocks may cause serious injury.
Any kind of metal in the sauna such as jewellery, watches, also glasses will retain heat and therefore is not suggested to bring into the heated rooms or use during your sauna sessions.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS
I acknowledge the advice not to bring any valuable possessions to the sauna site and understand that Cromarty Sauna accepts no liability for lost, damaged or stolen possessions on our site. We try to be vigilant on our sites and take care of our customers, however it is the customer's full responsibility to ensure safeguarding of all personal possessions at all times whilst on site.
Always use care when entering or exiting the sauna.
Areas may be slippery, uneven and dangerous, caused by water, ice, snow or other substances. Use of suitable footwear is recommended at all times.
I understand that the sauna is provided for the basic purpose of relaxation and relief of muscular tension. If I experience any pain or discomfort during the session, I will immediately exit the sauna.
I acknowledge and accept the risks inherent in the use of the saunas. I voluntarily assume the risk of injury, accident or death, which may arise from the use of our facility. I hereby waive and release Cromarty Sauna from any and all liability, past, present and future relating to sauna sessions.
I agree that this waiver is in effect for all sauna sessions and will not expire unless requested in writing by either party (The guest or Cromarty Sauna).
I further understand that staff working at Cromarty Sauna should not be construed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis, or treatment. I understand that the staff working at Cromarty Sauna are not diagnosing, prescribing, or treating any physical or mental illness and that nothing said in the course of the session given should be construed as such.
Phones, cameras and electronic devices are not permitted inside the sauna for two reasons:
1. Photographs are not permitted inside the sauna without the permission of all sauna users.
2. Electronic devices are liable to overheat. Cromarty Sauna is not liable for any of your possessions.
Smoking and e-cigarettes of any kind are not permitted in our facility. No glass containers or bottles are permitted at any time in our saunas.
Our liability to sauna members is strictly limited to the immediate surroundings of the sauna. All persons leaving the sauna premises during the session for any reason do so at their own risk and are personally liable for their actions.
RESTRICTION OF AGE IN OUR SAUNAS
In many countries, safe family saunas are encouraged. However we regret to inform our customers that our minimum age limit for using our saunas is 16. The reason is that our insurance does not cover anyone under the age of 16 wishing to use our saunas.
NUDITY & DRESS CODE
If you are to book one of our saunas for exclusive use, you're welcome to use the sauna in the German or Finnish way, however you will need to cover outside the sauna and in public areas. Clothing is compulsory if you are to book one of our social sauna sessions. We recommend a bathing suit. This is your experience and you should be as comfortable as possible. If you prefer to wear a t-shirt, wrap or robe that is your choice.
Towels are not provided, sauna users must bring a suitable towel to sit on. Place a towel down on the benches prior to sitting down.
ALLERGIES
The sauna may use various essential oils and salts. Please use at your own risk. Leave the sauna immediately if you have any adverse or allergic reaction, including difficulty breathing or eye, nasal or throat irritation.
Cromarty Sauna may offer complimentary infusions. These infusions can contain essential oils and various ingredients. I understand that I am using and consuming at my own risk.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Scheduling an appointment is the reservation of time put aside specifically for me. I acknowledge a mutual understanding of the value of our time.
However, we do understand that unforeseen circumstances can mean that the need to cancel a private session can occur. Please read our terms and conditions below carefully.
PRIVATE BOOKINGS - For any cancellations on PRIVATE BOOKINGS before 48 hours of the session start time, we will refund the full amount as a cash refund to your bank account (minus a 2.5% bank charge). Kindly allow 3-5 days for the refund to be processed.
Any PRIVATE SESSION cancelled within 48 hours notice of the time and date cannot be refunded however we can reschedule under special circumstances.
SOCIAL SESSIONS AND EVENTS - cannot be refunded. These sessions and events can be rescheduled for a new date ONCE before 48 hours of your chosen date and session time.
Any social session or event cancelled within 48 hours of the session start time cannot be refunded or rescheduled. If the reason is an emergency then please inform us and before cancelling and we can try our best to accommodate moving your session to another date and time.
WEATHER - If the sauna needs to close due to the weather conditions, a full refund will be issued regardless of booking method. Typically weather related closure will be due to a met office extreme weather warning. Closure of the Sauna is at the sole discretion of the Sauna operators.
LATE ARRIVALS - I understand that showing up late for an appointment means I am reducing the amount of time I have booked. I also understand I am fully paying for the service I have booked. Cromarty Sauna cannot adjust appointment times based on lateness.

FAIR USAGE POLICY - Sauna members are limited to booking two sauna seats per session. Booking for other Sauna services is at the standard rate. Use is restricted to regular opening hours unless specifically agreed with the management.
I FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL RISKS, DAMAGES AND HAZARDS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE AND LOSS.
I acknowledge this waiver of liability form. I fully understand its terms and conditions and I understand that I am waiving and giving up my right to sue Cromarty Sauna and any affiliated parties. I acknowledge that I am signing this agreement voluntarily and intend by my signature for this to be a complete and unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowable by law.
